Thoughtful Design Isn’t One-Size-Fits-All
Every landscape is shaped by its site, its architecture, and how people live in it.
Because of that, pricing is based on three core factors:
Scale · Scope · Complexity
This ensures each client pays for exactly what their project requires—nothing more, nothing less.
What Determines Project Cost
1. Scale —
How big is the canvas?
Scale refers to the physical size of the project and how much area is being designed.
Examples:
- Small front yard vs. full property
- Single planting zone vs. multiple outdoor rooms
- Urban courtyard vs. estate lot
Why it matters:
Larger sites require more site analysis, coordination, drawings, and long-term planning.
2. Scope —
What’s being designed?
Scope defines how many elements are included in the design.
May include:
- Planting design
- Irrigation layouts
- Hardscape concepts
- Lighting zones
- Grading & drainage considerations
- Construction notes for contractors
Why it matters:
A planting-only design is very different from a fully integrated outdoor environment.
3. Complexity —
How challenging is the site?
Complexity looks at constraints, technical demands, and coordination needs.
Factors include:
- Sloped or irregular terrain
- Tight setbacks or zoning limitations
- Tree protection or root-zone sensitivity
- HOA or city requirements
- Architectural precision or modern detailing
- Long-term maintenance and growth modeling
Why it matters:
Complex sites require more problem-solving, accuracy, and design iteration.
Typical Project Investment Ranges
(Final pricing provided after initial consultation)
- Small, focused designs
Front yards, courtyards, planting-only projects
Starting around $1,000 - Mid-scale residential projects
Front + backyard, multiple zones, integrated systems
Typically $2,000-$3,000 - Large or high-complexity properties
Custom architecture, slopes, premium detailing
Custom proposals
Design fees are independent of construction costs.

FAQs
1. Do you have enough experience to take on my project?
Absolutely. While we may be a newer business, we bring a unique combination of hands-on experience, modern design tools, and a clear, client-first process. Every design we take on is custom-crafted to your home, lifestyle, and budget.
Here’s how we build trust from Day One:
- We offer clear, visual portfolios with before-and-after photos, 3D renderings, and sample plant lists.
- You can start small with a low-risk consultation or mini design.
- Our background in design, tech, and real-world landscape implementation gives us an edge in delivering polished, practical solutions.
- We’re committed to building long-term relationships—our early clients’ testimonials speak for themselves.
2. How do I know you’ll be reliable and follow through?
We hear this concern a lot—and we totally get it. That’s why we’ve built our business around clarity, communication, and follow-through.
We show our reliability by:
- Using a simple, step-by-step process so you always know what’s next
- Providing written timelines and clear deliverables up front
- Sharing updates through shared folders or client portals (no chasing us down!)
- Being quick to respond and always transparent with progress
- Offering referral rewards and satisfaction guarantees to show we’re invested in your trust
3. Can I afford professional landscape design?
Most likely—yes! We believe great design should be accessible, flexible, and scalable.
We keep it affordable by:
- Offering tiered design packages based on your space and goals
- Separating design from installation—you can shop bids or DIY after we create the plan
- Allowing flexible payments (usually 50% up front, 50% at delivery)
- Helping you maximize value over time by preventing costly rework or mismatched plantings
- Sharing advice on how to get installation done at your pace and budget
4. What if your design style doesn’t match my taste?
We don’t just design for us—we design for you. Your taste, your home, your lifestyle.
Here’s how we ensure it fits you perfectly:
- We start every project with a style quiz or inspiration session
- You’ll receive moodboards or design direction options before anything is finalized
- We welcome collaboration and revisions, so your input shapes the final outcome
- We’ll explain the why behind every design decision
- While we have a signature look (clean, California-friendly, modern-organic), we adapt to your vision while elevating it
5. Will this turn into a never-ending project or a mess?
No way. We value your time, space, and peace of mind.
Our process is designed for simplicity and peace:
- We deliver designs within clearly defined timelines (often 7–14 days depending on scope)
- You can choose phased implementation if you’re not ready for the full install
- We can recommend trusted contractors or guide your install team
- We use basic project management tools (even checklists) so everything stays organized
- You’ll get plant care and maintenance suggestions to avoid overwhelm
6. What if I’ve had a bad experience with a landscaper or designer before?
That’s more common than you think—and we’re here to change that.
We rebuild trust by:
- Being radically transparent about costs, timelines, and expectations
- Listening carefully to what went wrong before and addressing those pain points up front
- Offering small pilot services if you want to try us out before a full commitment
- Providing visual mockups and samples so nothing is left to chance
- Sharing client stories of transformation after frustrating past experiences
7. Why hire a designer when nurseries or contractors offer free plans?
Great question. While nurseries and contractors may offer “free” layouts, they’re usually focused on selling plants or quick installs, not long-term, customized design.
Here’s what sets us apart:
- We create a vision for your entire space, not just a few flower beds
- Our designs account for sunlight, wind, irrigation, maintenance needs, and your lifestyle
- We offer plans you can implement over time, DIY or with help
- Our goal is not to upsell—you own the design and can use it however you like
- Plus, we provide a plant shopping guide or contractor referral list if needed
